What was the problem?
With so many diverse companies being acquired (from healthcare specific to technology centric and HR/Staffing oriented), they found themselves with diverse processes and multiple duplicative technologies:
- Different ERPs and HR processes
- Different CRMs
- Different expense processing systems
- Different business workflows with recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling
- Different cultures and risk tolerances
What we did…
Supported multiple acquisitions including post merger integrations and setting up a PMO specific to this constantly moving component of the business, which included:
- Implementation of corporate standards
- Creation of an M&A playbook for repeatable processes
- As-is/to-be process mapping
- System evaluation and end state architecture diagramming
- Consolidated reporting and metrics
- Upgrade and consolidation of operating environments to Microsoft Exchange Online
How did it do?
Creating standard processes and a playbook allowed for repeatable processes when new acquisitions occurred. This allowed for faster integration over time, with clear roles, responsibilities, deliverables and change management processes that aligned to the organization’s culture and overall strategy. Our PMO services continue to be leveraged by this organization and we are trusted delivery professionals to the IT and business leadership groups.
