Agile Transformation
Implementation of Agile for a major US based medical personnel services company operating nationwide
Our client is the Australian division of a global food services and facilities management company that integrates catering, facilities management, employee benefits and personal and home services to create an improved quality of life for the people they serve.
What was the problem?
With such a diverse range of customers, they needed to consistently deliver high-quality, complex solutions across multiple platforms but weren’t structured to do so:
- Siloed teams with little to no cross functionality
- Ad-hoc processes varying by team
- Fragile release process
- Little to no in-house lean-agile knowledge
- Gaps in documentation
- Different cultures and risk tolerances across departments and brands
What we did…
- Refined work intake, prioritization, and assignment processes to align with Agile best practices
- Defined and facilitated improvements to single and multi-platform release processes
- Provided training and on-going guidance as teams adopted new processes and roles
- Optimized tools to best support newly formed teams
How did it do?
We’ve recorded improvements in code quality, ticket cycle time, predictability, and collaboration on simple and complex initiatives across all teams that participated.
Our Agile services continue to be leveraged by this organization and we are trusted trainers, coaches, and partners to the IT and business leadership groups. As their existing teams mature, we will spread lean-agile practices across this company’s Information & Technology organization. By adopting Agile, they stand to see significant benefits, like those stated above, above across all teams in the organization
